Kids Clubs-FAQ

Do I have to pre-register my child for these classes?
It’s appreciated. These classes are drop-in and do not need to be pre-registered for. However our teachers always like to know numbers ahead of time so they can best prepare the materials for your children. At your first visit, we will ask you to fill out a short one-time form for your child and leave a snack & water for them. We accept Credit Card/Cash/Cheque.

Does my child need to be potty trained?
Yes. We understand accidents can still happen at early stages of training and so if you think that is possible for your child, please put them in a pull-up for the class. While we assist children in bathroom hygiene and give reminders, we don’t do changes and expect children to be able to indicate when they have to go. If there is an accident requiring a change we will call you immediately to come assist your child. If you are unable to come we will ask that you wait until they are fully potty trained before attempting the class again.

Do these classes qualify for childcare subsidy?
No, we are not a daycare or preschool but an ‘Arts Enrichment’ program. However, if you purchase a Club Card, you can write it off on your taxes under the BC Arts Tax Credit. Each child qualifies for $500 a year under this new Tax Credit.

Can I send peanuts or/and tree nuts?

Do you have a microwave?
No. However you can purchase many wonderful food items in the River Market downstairs.

What is the Student to Teacher ratio?
Our class sizes are small, with a maximum of 8 children, ensuring your child receives one on one instruction and focus from a teacher frequently throughout the class. Each class has both a Teacher and a 2nd Adult Assistant in the room with one or both Adults trained in CPR/First-Aid.

Will my child have fun while learning?
Yes! 🙂
